Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT AGES DO YOU SEE?
We enjoy seeing patients from birth through 22 years of age for any medical and sports medicine concerns. Dr. Koutures will see patients older than 22 years of age for sports medicine, fitness, or exercise-related issues.
WHAT IS A PEDIATRIC SPORTS MEDICINE SPECIALIST?
Pediatric sports medicine specialists have unique training and experience that foster in-depth and personalized care of many types of sport and exercise-related musculoskeletal (bone and joint) and medical issues. We are experts in applying principles of biomechanics, nutrition, injury prevention and usual child growth and development to manage current injury or illness issues and also to prevent future problems. We do not provide surgical care, but will recommend medical treatments, supervise therapy programs, and communicate with other members of the sports medicine team to assist patients in their recovery.
